You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

We’ve all heard this saying; we’ve lived through situations where this motto rings true. We’ve heard our mothers and our grandmothers use it when we were kids, implying that we couldn’t have it all. This popular English proverb is simply telling us we cannot have it both ways. Is that what this proverb is about, selfishness? We want what we can’t have; we can’t always have what we want.

If you want my opinion I say why not indulge? Why can’t one have her cake and eat it too? If you wish to dabble in life’s little riddles, please do so with caution. But remember, you cannot have the best of both worlds. Decide what is most important to you and then make your decision based on that outcome.
